Initial inquiries are handled by the staff at MidPenn Legal Services (717) 232-0581. Clients must qualify within specific income eligibility guidelines. For some issues, such as divorce and custody matters, clients may be able to attend information sessions to learn how to proceed through the legal system without representation by an attorney.

The Dauphin County Bar Association Pro Bono Program has been ranked as one of the finest in the Commonwealth, and is one of the more significant Community Service activities undertaken by the Association. We have recently developed a pro bono for nonprofits initiative to assist community based organizations that serve low-income, indigent, or disadvantaged persons in the capital area. Additionally, our new Pro Bono Guardianship Monitoring Program assists the Orphan's Court in its oversight responsibility to incapacitated persons in the county. And, of course, the Association supports MidPenn Legal Services with significant financial contributions.
