The Government Law Section provides its members with opportunities to expand their
knowledge of legal issues relating to practice before state and local government
forums. Throughout the year, arrangements are made for speakers to address Section
members on topics of interest to government law practitioners. The Section also
provides a social outlet for members through events such as attendance at a Senators'
ballgame and a Night at the Races. Communication with members of the Section is
facilitated through periodic editions of a Section Newsletter. The Section has established
four committees (Administrative Law, Legislative Issues, Local Government Issues
and State Government Issues) to explore activities of interest in these areas.
