Description
Reunifying Families In Custody Cases: The CLE will discuss the need and differences between reunification therapy, family therapy, co-parenting, and positive interactive parenting in custody cases. We will also discuss which cases may necessitate these service (i.e. drug abuse and mental illness) and how families can afford these services when ordered through the court. We will compare these therapeutic services to custody evaluations. We will also discuss drug and alcohol evaluations as well as psychological evaluations and the necessity of following any recommendations from these evaluations. This CLE will discuss the importance of implementing interim orders that include both parents as well as Court Orders that are self-enforcing (i.e. switch custody after a set number of missed school days or missed custodial periods).
