Hike with a Geologist to support Sarah Lockwood's Astonishing Advocate Campaign

Come hike with Jane Block, Erin Rybacki, and Kyle Rybacki, three local geologists. During the hike, they will discuss how the Appalachian Mountains were formed, paleogeography, basic geology principles, hydrogeology, and they will discuss the rock formations specifically where we are hiking.
This guided hike will take us to the Hawk Rock Overlook on the AT. It is approximately a 1.7 mile out and back hike, with a mildly steep incline to the top. The uphill is worth it for the views. This trail is rocky, so it will be perfect for the discussion.

$20 per person, and children are welcome and encouraged. Free for anyone 16 and under.
