CAMP 1L Internship Program

 

Promoting diversity and inclusion are key elements of our leadership culture and are core values of our Bar Association. Our Equal Professional Opportunity Committee (EPOC) oversees the diversity and inclusion initiatives we advance at the DCBA.  The Committee also presents the Hon. Clarence C. Morrison Award for promoting diversity to a deserving person or entity each year at our Annual Membership Meeting.


In 2004, EPOC was instrumental in creating the Capital Area Managing Partners (CAMP) Program.  Through this vibrant program, local law firms commit to support 1L students from under-represented communities with a paid internship in order to expose students to the practice of law and encourage them to consider Central PA to begin their legal career. The DCBA also strives to promote diversity on its Board of Directors and in its nominations to the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates for Zone 3.
